Upgrading street and road lighting to more efficient technology can offer huge benefits – lower energy costs, controllability, improved landscape aesthetics and reduced light pollution, as well as enhanced safety for pedestrians and motorists.
Embarking on a street lighting project has many challenges, such as ensuring sound system design and placement, avoiding light pollution, and ensuring the needs of residents are met; but when done correctly, a switch to LED street lighting and an appropriate control strategy can provide significant cost savings in the current climate of council funding pressures, as well as contributing to carbon reduction targets.
To address this, Premium Light Pro are offering workshops that will help set you on your way to planning and implementing a successful street lighting upgrade. The session includes a copy of the Premium Light Pro Outdoor lighting guidance and procurement criteria brochures.
Premium Light Pro and the Lighting Industry Academy will lead the morning session, with Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils leading the afternoon session.
