The Premium Light Pro project began its education program at the end of March with a day workshop on road lighting.
Addressing delegates from both the public and private sector, the session, delivered by Iain Macrae of the Lighting Industry Academy covered a range of key topics for organisations looking to upgrade to more efficient, high quality road lighting systems.
Attendees learned about areas such as lighting basics and perception of light; different technologies and applications; combating glare, flicker and light pollution; design thinking and solutions for different road environments and control strategies. Presentations were also received from Salix on funding options for the public sector and 10:10 on their 'Lighten Up' campaign.
The road lighting workshop is due to be run again in 2018, as part of an overall education program that will also include training on indoor lighting, as well as shorter, CPD accredited sessions - keep checking the Premium Light Pro website for announcement of future dates.
